Benazir Kafalat New Payments

Kafalat Program payments under the Benazir Income Support Program have once again been delayed, due to which millions of women are in trouble. The question is being asked by the poor beneficiaries as to why these payments are finally getting delayed. In this regard, official sources have given a detailed explanation according to which the payments will now resume regularly from Monday, September 29.

Here in this article, I will tell you for your complete guidance why these payments have finally been delayed and whether the payments will really start regularly from the 29th or not. Further, in this article, I will also provide you with the districts included in the first phase and other important details which are very important for you to know.

Benazir Kafalat New Payments Delayed

Reason For The Delay

The main reason for the delay in payments is that the campsites could not be fully established in the first phase. Due to administrative issues, it was not possible to provide facilities to the women on the spot, as a result of which the start of payments had to be postponed.

Now the administration has assured that the campsites will be fully functional from September 29 and the women will be able to receive their assistance money.

Which Women Will Receive Payments?

These payments will be provided only to those women who are already registered and eligible for the Benazir Kafalat Program.

The main eligibility conditions are as follows:

  • The name of the women must be included in the Kafalat Program
  • The poverty score (PMT) of the household should be less than 32
  • Only deserving and needy families will be able to benefit from this facility

Will This Include Taleemi Wazaif?

Many women are also asking this question whether they will receive Taleemi Wazaif program payments for their children along with the Kafalat program payments or not. So for the complete guidance of such women, let me clarify that yes, there will be some women who will be provided Taleemi Wazaif payments. In fact, these will be those women whose children were not issued payments for January to March due to incomplete verification.

Payment Method and Phased Distribution

These payments of the Benazir Income Support Program are being provided in phases so that relief can be given to the most affected districts first.

Phase One

  • The first phase includes 53 districts across the country, mostly those areas that were affected by the recent floods. The aim is to provide immediate relief to the affected families.

Possibility of a second phase

  • Camp sites could not be established in those districts where the flood situation has not yet been brought under control. These districts are likely to be included in the second phase when the situation returns to normal.

Payments through bank accounts

This time the payment system is different from before. The money will be provided directly to the women in their bank accounts.

  • The first phase includes three cluster districts
  • Accounts of the women concerned will be opened in the bank in which the cluster is located
  • Once the account is opened, all future payments will be transferred to the same account

Women have been instructed to carry their original identity card and registered mobile number with them while going to the campsite.

Important Precautionary Instructions

  • If five SIM cards are already registered in the name of a woman, then a new bank account will not be opened.
  • In such a case, one SIM card will have to be closed by going to the franchise so that there is no disruption in payments.
